Kassie, Jamie and Tyler I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember your dad as a friend, and a wonderful grandpa to the grandchildren we share. His kindness and big heart will always be a part of our lives and memories. My prayers are with you and your families?

I was one of several childhood friends who, over the years, all played together and went to school together in New Meadows....we all ‘grew up' together. James always was kind & thoughtful. I remember his smile and giggle the most. He was indeed a special person who will most certainly be missed. My deepest sympathy to all who love him.

Our prayers go out to the Smith family. I met James when he was living in Hoxie and married Tina Prickett. James was the only guy I ever knew that grew up in the mountains and could walk up and down, around for hours and bring you right back to the truck. If you took him out on the flatlands of Kansas and drove around three sections, he couldn't find his way to town. He taught me one valuable lesson the first time I went elk hunting with him. We walk up on a Bull on a logging road and it jumped up into the timber at which point James said go back 50 yards and run to the top of the mountain. Needless to say he could run to the top but I didn't make the second fifty yards. I told him I would walk to the top from then on. I never could run to the top! He had the same smile as in the picture only it turned into a laugh. He will be missed! RIP old friend!

Our sincere sympathy to all the family. We remember James years ago on Friday evenings @ the Stutzman's for Bible Study. He sometimes would bring a delicious pie and we always had good fellowship. May GOD bless you all with HIS comfort and peace. Remember the happy times and keep looking up.

I will always remember him as a wonderful welder and as a special friend. We were the only two that could start a fire inside a combine and laugh about it! Our condolences to the entire Smith family, especially my cousins. One of my favorite hunting memories was hunting raccoons with James and Tyler in Sheridan County KS. He was a great uncle and his kids loved him and respected him dearly. With love, The Prickett Family.

I remember Mrs Fossler as a warm, generous and strong lady. I was good friends with her daughter Monica and have memories of good times spent at their house on West 7th St. I also remember her driving us everywhere in her “fierce Pinto” and  her teaching us how to put on makeup. She was a beautiful and good person. You all have my deepest sympathy.

Jim was a man of great integrity and what a patriot!  I miss him greatly and pray that you all will experience the "peace that passes all understanding" during your time of grief. Jim loved our Wonderful Savior and fought hard for his beloved country. I admired his stand for the truth.

Baba- You and I had so many years together.  You taught me so much.  You provided me and my family such an honorable example of how to live a life of honor.  I will miss you but know that you are now home with family that has gone before you.  You are in heaven's care now and watching over all of us.
