Ricardo "Rick" A. Trinidad
August 31st, 1959 - August 27th, 2024
Rick Trinidad was born on August 31, 1959, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. His parents were Isabel and Feliciano Trinidad, who were migrant field workers. At some point, the family settled down In Washington, where Rick was raised with his siblings: Felix, Tony, Janie, Roy, Peggy, Carmen, Isidro, and Angie. He also had three siblings in Texas: Francis, Lupe, and Mary, who he met later in life.
In 1979, Rick went to visit an uncle in Idaho where he met his lifelong partner of 45 years, Irma. Together they had five children and raised them in Caldwell, Idaho.
Rick was a person who loved adventure. He enjoyed camping, dancing, and was the cook for many family barbecues, was an avid fan of Dallas Cowboys, and loved Oldies. He loved taking his grandkids to Indian Creek to look for rocks, get wet, and finish off eating ice cream. He also taught each one to swim by his swim or sink technique.
Rick worked at Crookham for many years, alongside his son and had many friends.
In his later years, you always found Rick outside working on his riding lawnmower, maintaining the yard, or taking care of his three birds. He will be missed by family and friends who stopped by to chat with him.
He is survived by Irma; his kids: Ricky, Niko, Nakita, and Jackie; and grandkids who were his reason to keep going and ruled his heart.
He is preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Monique; a sister; and his parents.
A viewing will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 10:00 am, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell. A reception will follow. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
