August 15th, 1952 - March 10th, 2024
Richard J. “Rocky” Beach, 71, of Olympia, Washington, passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2024. He was born on August 15, 1952, to John “Jack” Beach and Genne Beach in Hayward, California. He spent his childhood throughout the Pacific Northwest. He was a graduate of the University of Puget Sound and Washington State University. He will be remembered for his love of nature and wildlife, which he brought to his career and hobbies. Rocky dedicated his career to the conservation of wildlife in Washington state. He enjoyed duck hunting, golfing, and relaxing after a long day with his dog, Odin. Rocky is survived by his daughters, Jessica (Keaten) and Sierra (Tomislav); his siblings, Andy (Sharon), Pat (Robyn), and Tina (Lee); and grandson, William. A private memorial service is planned for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Center for Biological Diversity (https://www.biologicaldiversity.org/), in honor of Rocky Beach. Please leave condolences or share memories and photos on the Tribute Wall to the left.
