Richard LeRoy Bender

Richard LeRoy Bender, 77, was born on April 30, 1935 to Genevieve and Gorman Bender at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. He passed away surrounded by family on October 16, 2012. A graduate of Lincoln High School, Rich worked as a bakery driver for 39 years. Rich enjoyed playing tennis, bowling and golf. He loved working with his hands and was a skilled carpenter. Rich continued to use his carpentry skills and talent well into retirement working on various projects for family and friends. Rich was kind, thoughtful and willing to offer a helping hand to anyone. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered by all, and dearly missed. Rich is survived by his wife Marilyn, their two children Rich (Lisa) and Pam (Steve), and their six grandchildren Jeff, Ryan, Kayla, MacKenzie, Abby and Matthew.
