Betz, Rossi Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home - Amsterdam
Richard B. Bryan
June 28th, 1939 - October 14th, 2015
Richard B. Bryan passed away at Albany Medical Center Oct. 14th. He was born June 28, 1939 in Albany Co. to Marjorie Bryan. He never had the opportunity to meet his parents or siblings as he was placed in the State System as an infant. He met his family at the age of 59 when he moved into the home of John and Andrea Ciccone and their children. He had the family he always longed for until 2005 when life events had him move to Hadley NY for a short time, and spent the last 10 years at Hickory Hill in Fonda. The staff and housemates he considered "family" and he was always grateful for all they did for him. And he was very caring to them as well. Richard loved to bowl, watch sports, garden and yard work, and dress up and look nice. He loved to nickname those closest to him and was considered one of the best holiday and birthday decorators. Richard will be missed by all who had the opportunity to be a part of his life. He was predeceased by many of his friends and housemates who are all surely welcoming him to his new venture. He leaves John and Andrea Ciccone and family and his Liberty family. A service will take place Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. A calling hour will begin at 10:00 am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Liberty Arts and Crafts Program, 43 Liberty Dr. Amsterdam 12010. Those wishing to express their condolences may do so by signing our online guest book at brbsfuneral.com
