Carpenter, Richard E. Age 77, Hugo, MN Passed away on February 3, 2022 of pancreatic cancer. Preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Dick & Doris; close childhood friend, Don; and cousin, Bob. Survived by his wife of 41 years, Beverly; daughter, Stacey; brothers-in-law, Bill (Dixie), Tom, Denny (Joan), and Tim, sisters-in-law, Betti (Kirk) and Brenda (Lief); cousins, Jean, Jan, Julie (Scott), John (Jill), Leslie (Dave), Connie, and Nancy (Mark); and many other cousins, nieces and nephews. He was a welder for Barry Blower and then Kurt Mfg, retiring from the University of Minnesota as a cashier at the student health center. He really liked the last of the jobs because he was able to meet some of the athletes that played for the U. He enjoyed fishing and bowling, and golfing with his buddies at Oneka Golf Course. He was very artistic using chalk as a medium for many pictures. Visitation at Sandberg Funeral Home in North St. Paul from 4:00PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
