Richard N. Chacon born May 4, 1947, 63 years old passed away May 26, 2010, peacefully surrounded by his family at the Veteran’s Hospital in Palo Alto. He courageously battled cancer for over 3 years. He was a native of Salinas and was a graduate of Salinas High School, in 1966. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War Veteran, serving 1967-1969. He was a member of the V.F. W. Post #7895. He spent a lot of time with his grandchildren and he especially looked forward to his daily walks with them. He enjoyed visiting his brothers. He also enjoyed taking family vacations to Las Vegas. He is survived by wife of 42 years Nancy Chacon of Salinas son Richard Chacon, Jr. of Salinas daughters Lisa (Sesar) Sanchez of Henderson, Nevada Rachel (Peter) Ruiz of Salinas Lupe Chacon of Salinas grandchildren Jose Agustin, Isaiah and Josiah Chacon Katrina, Victoria and Jessica Ruiz brothers Mike, Manuel, Johnny, Ray, Ruben, Mario, Eddie, Armando and Ramiro sisters Helen, Alice, Marylou and Romie preceded in death by parents Juan and Julia Chacon brother Jose Chacon Sunday May 30, 2010 , 1pm - 9pm at Healey Mortuary Click for Map and Directions Sunday May 30, 2010 , 7pm at Healey Mortuary Click for Map and Directions Tuesday June 1, 2010 , 10am at Madonna Del Sasso Catholic Church Click for Map and Directions at Garden of Memories Cemetery Click for Map and Directions
