Richard Edward Coleman ""Dick"", age 86, of Venice, FL passed away on August 10, 2017. He was born in East Orange, NJ to Richard Edward Coleman and Anne Marie (Quinn) Coleman on December 18, 1930. Dick and his wife, Terri, moved to Venice 3 years ago from Waterford, VA. Dick was a US Army Signal Corp veteran serving during the Korean War as Captain. He worked for General Foods, American Airlines, Marriott Corp., and was the President of a transportation sales company for over 30 years before retiring 8 years ago. Dick is survived by his wife of 40 years, Terri Anne Coleman; sons Richard E. Coleman (Regina Coleman) of Bealeton, VA, Robert M. Coleman (fiancée Charlotte Perkins) of West Friendship, MD, daughter Kimberly A. Coleman of Tampa, FL; sons James L. Coleman of Leesburg, VA, and Todd L. Coleman of Aldi, VA; and grandchildren Amanda Coleman, Samantha Coleman, and Zachary Coleman. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Anne Faltings Coleman. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 16th from 4-6 pm at Farley Funeral Home, Venice, FL. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Our Lourdes Catholic Church on Thursday, August 17th. Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation: www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org.
