Richard Ellis Jr.
July 13th, 1974 - May 30th, 2023
On May 30, 2023, our beloved Richard Ellis Jr. was called home to be with the Lord. Richards’ nick name, aka “Dre” to people who knew him, was born on July 13, 1974, at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma Washington. He was the youngest of two sons to Rita Jones Ellis, J. Jones, and Richard. Many knew “Dre” from Mann Middle School and Steilacoom High School. “Dre” enjoyed Hip-hop, Rap music, coaching soccer, playing basketball/baseball, and was a huge fan of the Seattle Seahawks. He was talented in the construction field, flipping houses, and enjoyed working with his hands. He especially cherished taking care of the elderly in his neighborhood. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Percy, and Helen Louise Jones and is survived by his mother Rita; brother J. Jones, and four children: oldest son Dmitri, daughters Taylor, and Mellina, with youngest son Dreden; along with nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
