Granby-Richard J. Gagne, 82, passed away suddenly June 4, 2022 at his home. Born in Holyoke on February 19, 1940, he grew up in Holyoke and has lived in Granby for over 30 years. Richard owned Advertising Wares of Holyoke for many years before working with Pioneer Premium Promotion and then New England Promotional Marketing. In his leisure, Dick enjoyed being part of the gun club, buying and selling classic cars, along with being a mechanic and also photography. His memory will remain with his wife of 38 years, Joan G. (Geoffroy) Gagne, along with his children, Vernon Gagne and Sue of Wales, Gerry Gagne and Irene of South Hadley, and Rob Gagne and Liz also of South Hadley. Dick is also survived by Joan's children, Brian Pray and Debbie of Westfield, Michael Pray and Kristie of Chicopee, Lynn Johnson and Brad of Warren, CT as well as nine grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister. A Celebration of life will held on Wednesday June 15th, from 4 – 7 pm at Summit View, 555 Northampton St Holyoke MA . Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either the Granby Council On Aging, 10 W. State St., Granby MA 01033 or Friends Of Granby Elderly, PO Box 921, Granby, MA 01033.
