Richard 'Dick' Gallagher passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014. He was born on Staten Island, NY, to Cornelius and Catherine Gallagher and attended Augustinian Academy where he excelled in basketball and baseball and graduated in 1956. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he married Jeanne Goggi and had two children, Brian and Dayna. His passions in life were family, work, his religion and golf. He began his career with St. Regis Paper Co. and rose through the ranks to retire as VP of Sales at Simpson Tacoma Kraft Co. Dick and Jeanne were snowbirds and spent summers in WA and winters in AZ. He is survived by Jeanne, his beloved wife of 51 years; son, Brian (Loraine); daughter, Dayna (Briana) and grandchildren, Jordan, Aaron, Cassandra and Lucus; brother, Neil; sisters, Pat Callahan and Cathy Ziegler and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the if Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
