Warner Robins, GA- Richard E. Hollinger, 95, of Gainesville, Florida peacefully passed away on Friday January 13, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on January 20, 2017 in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens with the Reverend David Brighton officiating. Mr. Hollinger was born on April 14, 1921 in Halifax, PA to the late Hilda Yetter and Bruce Hollinger. After graduating from Susquehanna High school he proudly served in the Army Air corps at Hickam Field Air Force Base where he met his wife Eleanor. He later moved to Warner Robins, GA where he worked civil service at Robins Air Force Base and retired after a total of 37 years in service. Mr. Hollinger was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Warner Robins as well as Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Gainesville, Fl. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by all. Along with his parents, Mr. Hollinger was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Eleanor P. Hollinger who passed away in 2003. Survivors include his two sons, Richard C. Hollinger (Candace) of Gainesville, FL; Mark E. Hollinger (Lane) of Pebble Beach, CA; four grandchildren, Lindsay E. Hollinger of Joshua Tree, CA; Charles R. Hollinger of St. Augustine, FL; Jordan Hollinger of Redwood City, CA; and Hannah Hollinger of Lexington, KY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice of Gainesville, FL or to a charity of choice.
