Richard Hill Huff
October 25th, 1925 - June 20th, 2023
Richard Hill Huff, one of the last of the WW2 veterans and a self-made businessman, passed into everlasting life on June 20, 2023. Born in Camden on Gauley, West Virginia in 1925, he fell in love with Tucson while visiting in the early 50’s. He arrived in Tucson with his pregnant wife Barbara and daughter Penny in tow. Working various jobs, he finally found his niche in the growing Tucson real estate market, eventually founding Richard Huff Realty. His infectious personality brought him immense success, establishing multiple offices, employing hundreds of agents. He also developed several residential subdivisions building dozens of new homes. His successes allowed him to travel with Barbara including motor-homing and he developed a passion for western art. Richard was a man of faith never missing an opportunity to share his faith in Jesus Christ, even holding weekly prayer meetings in his offices. He was also a U.S. Congressional candidate in 1980 and 1982. His passing will leave a large hole in our hearts but we celebrate, knowing he has been welcomed by his Lord and Savior. Richard is survived by his wife, of 76 years, Barbara, his children Penny, Todd (Patsy), Brad (Julia) and Polly (Jeff) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
