Online Obituary Kaufman, Richard Leonard, LCDR 77, of St. Petersburg, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010. He was born in Manitowoc, WI on October 5, 1933. He attended Notre Dame and Marquette University. He retired from the USCG on June 30, 1978 as a Lt. Commander. His passions were flying and sailing, with his family always being number one. He was a member of the QB and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. He is survived by his wife, Millie Kaufman, of St. Petersburg; children, Steven Odell and wife, Carrie, and their children, Austin and Chandler, of Tampa and Andrea Baum and her husband, Steven, and their children, Taylor and Alexis, of St. Petersburg. He is also survived by his son, Michael Kaufman and his wife, Barbara, of Raleigh, NC; son, Gregory Kaufman and his wife, Becky, and their son, Christopher, of Raleigh, NC; son, Kevin Kaufman of Youngsville, NC; son, Jeffrey Kaufman and his wife, Donna, and their children, Molly and Samuel, of Manassas, VA; daughter, Melissa Jones and her husband, Dennis, and their children, Kayla and Matthew, of Baltimore, MD. A gathering will begin at 1pm with a memorial service at 2pm on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201 Dr. MLK Jr. St. N.
