Richard Monroe Lambert, 76 of Gibsonville, NC passed away at his home on August 23, 2018. A graveside service will be held 2 pm Sunday August 26, at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro, with a gathering one hour prior to the graveside service in The Lakeview Mausoleum. Lifelong friend, John Marlow, officiating. Richard was born in Gratton, VA on January 23, 1942 to the late Walter and Delphine Matthews Lambert. He was well known in his family as the person to go to for just about anything. He loved God, his family, fishing, hunting, and never met a stranger. He will be missed by his loving family. Surviving are his wife Gaye Jones Lambert of the home; Daughter Pam Causey (Steve) and Son Matthew (Rhonda) May ; grandchildren Dana (Chad) Taylor, Jamie Thomas, Brianna (Rodney) Ellison, Austyn May, Bailey May, Kayla May, Mackenzie Causey and Noah May, Stephanie and Hannah; great-grandchildren Nathan, Madison, Mason, Lucas, Harleigh; siblings Nancy Bray, Patricia “Tish” (Paul) Kinder, Edith (Richard) Roush, Ruby (Mike) Wagner, Tresia (Thurman) Smith, Dan (Diane) Lambert, Jes (Donna) Lambert, Carl “C.D.” Lambert, several nieces and nephews.
