Richard Telephonso Martinez

Richard Martinez 69, of Fort Collins passed away on Monday December 27, 2021 in Aurora, Colorado. He was born on November 14, 1952 in Wyoming to Daniel Martinez and Margret Rodriguez. Richard was a huge fan of Raiders football and a longtime fan of WWF. He enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music genres. He enjoyed Colorado weather and spent a lot of time outside appreciating it while on one of his many daily bicycle rides and/or walks. He was a good person with a big heart, and it showed in everything he did. He was the type of person that would help push a stranded motorist off the road, giving someone less fortunate than himself the shirt off his back or his last dollar in his pocket. He knew what truly mattered in life and it was the endless love and eternal bond he shared with his family. He looked forward to spending time with them every chance he got especially with his grandkids and great grandkids. It was those moments he cherished and will always be with him. Anyone who has ever met Richard will always remember his beautiful smile or the way he laughed. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his children, AnnaLiza (Juan) Enriquez, Dion Richard Martinez, Jacob Michael Martinez and Rebecca Hope (Jose) Santillan; 13 grandchildren, Raquelle Martinez, Dion Martinez Jr Destiny Enriquez, Jailyn Martinez, Aztlan Enriquez, Viktoria Enriquez, Makayla Martinez, Gabriel Martinez, Mariah Santillan, Ciera Enriquez, Silvia Santillan, Nathaniel Martinez, Aaliyah Santillan and four great grandson's and one great granddaughter; siblings, Joe (MaryLou) Martinez, Jenny Martinez, Mona Martinez, John Ontiveros, Ray Ontiveros, Ralph Ontiveros, Able Ontiveros, Lidia Ontiveros and Erma Ontiveros. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, MonaLisa Martinez; siblings, Sarah, Nelly, Linda and Rudy.
