Richard "Dick" Franklin McLellan
January 10th, 1937 - February 27th, 2014
Richard Franklin "Dick" McLellan, 77, of Lexington passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014. Born on January 10, 1937 in Dillon, SC he was the 5th child of the late Henslee and Bessie T. McLellan. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55years, Jacque Stubbs McLellan of Lexington, SC; his children, Richard "Sib" (Lisa) McLellan, Jr of Columbia, SC and Suzanne McLellan (Billy) Chastain of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Richard "Trace" McLellan III, Tanner McLellan, Zachary McLellan, Henslee Chastain, Eliza Chastain and William Chastain, III; sisters, Arch Anna Blanchard (Charlie) of Raleigh, NC, Ann McCollie (Nick), of Laurenburg, NC and Dot Murray (John) of Laurenburg, NC; sister-in-laws, Anne McLellan of Greenville, SC and Jackie McLellan of Fork, SC; brother-in-laws, Bill (Margie) Stubbs of Chesterfield, SC and Theo L. Lane of Dillon, SC and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his brothers, Henslee "Bill" Mc Lellan and Gordon "Rock" McLellan and sister, Barbara "Bobbie" McLellan. Memorials can be made in memory of Dick McLellan to Project Hope Foundation, Inc. 2131 Woodruff Road, Greenville SC 29607-5994. Celebration of life service will be held Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 3:30pm at Westminister Presbyterian Church, 1715 Broad River Road Columbia SC 29210. A reception will follow the service at the church. Burial will be private.
