Richard Lee McNary was born on August 22, 1951 in Williston, North Dakota to Melba and Floyd McNary. He lived with his family at Fort Buford, North Dakota until they moved to Chico in 1959. Following his graduation from Chico High School in 1969, Rick went on to play baseball at Butte Collage, and then Chico State. In 1979 Rick began his 35-year career with PG and E until his retirement. Rick was very involved with and supportive of his sons' Outlaw Go-Kart racing. Other hobbies included hunting, fishing and slow-pitch softball. Rick also enjoyed baking for his family. Rick passed away on January 1, 2018. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Randy. He is survived by his ex-wife Bobbie, sons Denny (Regan), Gary (Kay), and grandsons Garin, Grayden and Liam. He also leaves behind siblings Kathryn McNary-Reese, Rodney, Karen Destruel, Kris Johnson and Karyl Serna, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends who love him dearly.
