Richard A. Miles

Richard A. Miles, 80, of Lexington, SC passed on October 26, 2023. Richard was born on July 30, 1943 in Chester, PA. He was the son of the Late Richard Everet Miles and Catherine Hart Miles. He was also proceeded in death by his brother, Robert Miles. Richard served in and retired from The United States Air Force. He was selected for Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. He was also a member of the National Chess Federation. Richard is survived by his wife, Sandra G. Miles of Lexington, SC, two sons, Richard Scott Miles of Tocoma, WA, Christopher Alan Miles of San Antonio, TX, brothers, Jerry Hart of Millsboro, DE, James Miles of Millville,DE, Kenneth Miles of Wilmington, DE, Frank Miles of Garden Valley, PA, sisters, Shirley Pappas of Chester, PA, Juanita Marvel of Jacksonville, FL, sister-in-law, Mary Burns of Milldgeville, GA, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life services for Richard will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 3:00 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint, 2224 Augusta Highway, Lexington, SC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital at stjude.org/donate South Carolina Cremation Society is assisting the family.
