Richard M. Miller
December 7th, 1946 - February 13th, 2023
Richard Miller, 76, died at his St. Petersburg home on February 13, 2023. Born in Boswell, Pennsylvania to parents John and Helen, he was the youngest of seven children. His siblings were Joseph, John, Walter, Dorothy, Barbara, and Eugene. All but Barbara and Eugene preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara (née Strocko); their children, Nicholas and Jennifer; son-in-law Stephen; daughter-in-law Jessica; and five grandchildren: Charles, Nicholas Jr., Waverly, Riley, and Rachel. Richard moved to the Washington, D.C. area as a young adult. He served in the United States Navy and later graduated from George Washington University with a BA in business administration and an MBA in accounting. His career in finance included positions with Boeing and Raytheon. A dedicated Catholic, Richard attended mass regularly and spent his free time fishing, reading, playing golf, and traveling. But above all else, he was a devoted family man who was always willing to drop everything to be with his children and grandchildren, all of whom loved every minute with their Pappap. A funeral mass will be held Friday, February 24, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church (1376 Snell Isle Blvd. NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33704). In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Catholic Charities, Diocese of St. Petersburg (www.ccdosp.org).
