Richard J. Miranda, sadly passed away at the young age of 40 in Colorado Springs, Colorado on August 20, 2024. He was born on April 7, 1984 in Tucson, Arizona to his loving mother Idaline.
Richard proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army where he served a total of 9 years and was deployed twice. He loved being on his tank and was so proud of his service. After his honorable discharge he went on to work 8 years as a DOA civilian at the Pueblo Chemical Depot.
Since January 2024, Richard lovingly referred to himself as a “trophy husband,” and took on the proudest role of all as a stay at home dad. His kids were his whole world.
Richard was an avid fishing lover and gun collector. He went fishing and shooting as much as he could. He loved spending quality time with his family and friends and was always down for a good camping trip. Traveling to Las Vegas “to get away” was one of his favorite pastimes. He was and will always be considered the life of the party and loved making people laugh with his quick witted humor. He could make anyone crack a smile.
Married to Thera Miranda on July 8, 2006, they were best friends and soul mates. They are so proud of having 18 strong years of marriage after getting married so young.
Left behind to cherish Richard’s memory are his loving wife Thera, adoring children Alexis (Lexi), Aaron and Aubrey, wonderful mother Idaline, sisters Valarie and Nicole, multiple nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many many good friends.
