Richard M. Murphy. Born January 15, 1953, and died on December 17, 2013. Predeceased by his parents, James M. and Billie B. Murphy. Survived by brothers, Jim (Grace) Murphy and Tom (Chris) Murphy. Rick was a third generation Tucsonan and a member of the Pioneer Murphy/Duffy family. He graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School and played on its first State Championship tennis team. He graduated from Northern Arizona University and had a career in banking and then as a real estate agent and broker. He was an agent/broker with Realty Executives at the time of his death. He was a life member of the Centurions and a past member of its Board of Directors. Rick will be remembered as a respected member of the real estate community, who mentored many agents who worked with him over the years. The family would like to thank the staff at Northwest Hospital's Intensive Care Unit for their care of Rick. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Centurion Foundation, 1228 E. Prince, Tucson, AZ 85718. Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
