He slipped away in the early hours of Aug. 2, 2016 for a joyous reunion with his sons Richard and Michael. He was born in Santa Barbara, Ca. May 27, 1939 to Albert and Frances Romero Olivera. He attended local schools and worked in Wholesale produce and liquor industry. He then purchased his own independent milk business. After he retired, he spent his time fishing, traveling and watching every sport in the world on T.V. He loved all sports and all animals. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis; daughter Debra (Burleigh) Maples. Granddaughter Summer Olivera and Great granddaughter, Bella; Brother Arthur(Carolyn) sister in law Dorothy and nieces Tamara and Michelle Olivera. Numerous other nephews, nieces and cousins. Rest in peace my love, until we meet again. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Santa Barbara Humane Society. Services will be held on Aug. 27, 2016 at McDermott and Crocker Mortuary 2020 Chapala St. at 1:00. A celebration of life will be held at Rocky Nook park following the service.
