May 2nd, 1938 - May 18th, 2018
Richard "Rick" Parent passed away peacefully at his home on May 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving family, with his wife of 45 years, Del, holding his hand. Rick was born on May 2, 1938 in South Bend, IN and relocated to Santa Barbara with his family in the fifties. He served 4 years in the Navy and then worked in the Restaurant business for 40 years. Rick owned and operated the Outlaw's Restaurant in Playa Del Rey, CA for several years, then retired to Las Vegas. Rick is survived by his wife, Del; daughters; Laurel (Mark) Felton and Kelly Bernal; sons; Martin Bernal and David Bernal; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for May 25, 2018 from 2-5pm at Kraft Sussman Funeral and Cremation Services, 3975 S. Durango Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89147. Services in Santa Barbara are scheduled for June 2, 2018 at 11:30am at Welch-Ryce-Haider Funeral Chapels, 450 Ward Dr., Santa Barbara, CA 93111 with burial following at Calvary Cemetery 199 N Hope Ave. Santa Barbara, CA 93110.
