Mr. Richard T. Peck, age 87 of Gloversville, NY, died Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam, NY, following a long illness. He was born January 23, 1921 in Bridgeport, CT, the son of the late Wesley and Louise Dubrit Peck. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Mr. Peck was a carpenter and builder, and was employed by the Carpenters Union #210 in Hamden, CT. He had resided in the Gloversville, NY area the past 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Edith Eckert Peck of Gloversville, NY; four children, Dawn Watkins Jack of New Milford, CT; John Peck of Rocky Hill, CT; William Peck Nettie of Bradley Beach, NJ and Elizabeth Pendergast Thomas of New Milford, CT; two brothers, Robert Peck Frances of Southbury, CT and Kenneth Peck of Newton, CT; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eunice Whittle Peck, and by his brother, Wesley Peck. Private services will take place at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the charity of your choice.
