Richard "Rockie" Francis Provenzano
January 13th, 1936 - April 3rd, 2018
RICHARD F. "ROCKIE" PROVENZANO age 82 of Jefferson passed away Tuesday April 3, 2018 at the Jefferson Memory Care in Jefferson. He was born on January 13, 1936 in Fort Atkinson, son of the late Francis and Estelle (Burhans) Provenzano. He married Joanne Blegen on June 27th, 1959 in Chicago, IL. He served in the United States Army from 1959-1961. Rockie was employed as a Custodian at Fort Atkinson Middle and High Schools and at Badger Press in Jefferson. He was an active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Richard is survived by his wife Joanne of Jefferson, children Michael (Barbara) Provenzano of Jefferson, Anthony Provenzano of Oconomowoc, Theresa Nelson of Fort Atkinson, Joseph (Sherry) Provenzano of Jefferson, Marilyn Schick of Randolph, Robert Provenzano of Jefferson, Richard (Melissa) Provenzano of Appleton, James (Cammy) Provenzano of Fort Atkinson and foster daughter Holly (Jerry) Bradley of LaPlata MD. Rockie was also blessed with 21 grandchildren and 5+ great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister Ramona Ziebell of Necedah, and brothers Roger Provenzano of Whitewater, and Ralph Provenzano of Crystal Lake, IL. He is preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Roland, and one grandchild Abby Jo Provenzano. Rockie is well known for the prayerful life he led. He carried a long list of family and friends that he prayed for daily. He was forever adding to his list whenever he met anyone he felt would like or need prayers. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday April 14, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Coyle presiding. Burial with military honors will follow in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.
