Richard Joseph Rubenstein

Richard Joseph Rubenstein, of Matthews, NC, 72, died March 1, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center - Main. He was born December 29, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA, son of Betty Rose Heissen Rubenstein of Cranford, NJ, and the late Solomon Henry Rubenstein. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ and was a Sales Representative with Corporate Information Technologies in Charlotte. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 in the Chapel at the Hebrew Cemetery, 1801 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte with Rabbi Michael Shields officiating. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Phyllis Kaufman Rubenstein; his children, Michael Rubenstein and wife, Samantha, of Charlotte and Rachelle Morello and husband, Chris, of Huntersville, NC; a sister, Cindy Capodice and husband, Jim, of Cranford, NJ; and 4 grandchildren, Madison, Jacob, Sophie, and Hannah.
