Richard “Dick” Allan Schuh was born May 19, 1942 and went home to be with the Lord on April 14, 2014. Known as "Dick", he was a man who loved Jesus, his family, his friends, and old cars. He was born in Filer, North Dakota, the second of three children to Allan and Lydia Schuh. The family moved to Woodburn, Oregon and Dick graduated from Woodburn High School. He moved to Eugene in 1965. He served for a time as a minister in the town of Marcola before opening his own business, RJ’s Industrial. He also owned Memory Lane Auto Sales and previously Petersen Auction. He was a life-long car enthusiast and enjoyed building show cars. He was a member of the Gearheads and the NRA. Dick was also very proud of his service to our country in the National Guard In 1977 Dick married the love of his life, Jerry Ann. Together they enjoyed serving in their church and showing cars. Dick always said it was his greatest joy to serve the Lord and throughout his life he led many people to their personal salvation in Christ. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Jerry Ann. Survived by his daughter and her husband, Shawnmarie and Douglas Carpenter of Anchorage, Alaska, his son and wife, Christopher and Dara Wills of Hillsboro, his granddaughter and her husband, Khala and Mark Hamilton, his two granddaughters, Sydney and Savannah Wills, his sister and her husband, Peggy and Royce Norris of Keizer, his sister and husband, Donna and John Stone of Las Vegas, Nevada, nieces Cindy and Tina, and nephew and wife, Vance and Janiese Norris and their children Andrew and his wife Taryn and McKenzie Norris of Eugene. Dick’s warm sense of humor, humble spirit, and devout faith will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Dick had a commitment to helping people fall in love with Christ. He was a wonderful man who was faithful. The great thing to know is that he is racing cars with Jesus right now A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 25th at 1:00pm at Living Hope Church in Eugene.
