Obituary Richard A. Smithers, 68, of Lexington, Kentucky, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012. He was born June 23, 1944 in Lexington, KY to the late Agnes Lilly Smithers Keefe and Hubert C. Smithers. Richard was a professional photographer, owner of Bluegrass Color Lab and Central Kentucky Photo Services, and an avid gardener. He is survived by his daughter, Tara (Frank) McGrath of Antioch, IL; siblings, Ralph Smithers of Babson Park, FL, Rita (James) Lawson of Lancaster, Jack (Tammy) Smithers of Lexington, Marion (J.B.) McCartt of Lexington, Rose Fallis of Richmond, and Cecelia Ashcraft of Richmond; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends. Funeral Information Memorial Service to honor Richard's life will be 10 am, Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, followed by a Gathering of Family and Friends until 2:30 pm. Inurnment will take place at Pax Christi Catholic Church Peace Garden Columbarium at 3:15 pm.
