Richard Stange

On February 24, 2023, Richard Stange beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed peacefully into the arms of our Heavenly father with his loving family by his side. Richard was predeceased by the love of his life, Helen who were happily married for 59 years, 10 months and 2 days; as well as his brothers, Edward Stange and Dennis Stange and nephews Charles Williams and Edward Stange. Richard was born on September 20, 1935, in Jersey City, NJ to Mildred and Harry Stange. He had a passion for sports and loved the NY Giants and NY Mets. A proud Navy Veteran, he served from 1952 to 1956, most of his time spent on the USS Bennington. When he returned home, he went to school for engineering and spent his career as a metrologist, measuring minuscule parts used in government projects. He is survived by daughters, Patty Stange, Cathleen Rutin, Diane Schoeller; granddaughters, Brandy Jeter-Flores (Mike), Louisa Schoeller (Corey), Katie Schoeller (Shawn), Alexandra Martinez (Jose); great-grandsons Julian Jeter-Flores, Michael Flores, Matthew Flores, James Schoeller, Ezekiel Schoeller; sister, Mildred Suzy Williams; brother, Stephen Stange; many nieces and nephews; and extended family Lois Rivera, Kathleen Henry, Cindy Powers (Bill) and Kathleen Gough.
