Richard L Stanley

Stanley, Richard L., 78, a resident of Los Lunas , NM passed away on February 1, 2013 after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arden and Pavey Stanley; his brother, Kent and daughter Stacy. He is survived by his wife, MaryAnn Stanley; eight children; two sons, Mike and Darin; one daughter, Robin; three stepsons, Larry and Sylvia Messier, Carl and Lindy Messier, and Stan and Cathy Messier, and one stepdaughter, PeggyAnn and John Dooley. He had many grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was a wonderful Dad, husband, father and stepfather. He was in the Air Force in the mid-50's. He loved planes, which led him to become a career Air Traffic Controller, a position he held until he retired. He was a master wooden toy maker, where he and MaryAnn would participate in many arts and crafts shows. Richard has been cremated, and there will be a private ceremony held by the family.
