On December 21, 2020 Richard (Ricky) Sweat passed away at Trident Hospital in North Charleston. Ricky was born in Summerville on August 3, 1953. Ricky was a dedicated clemson fan who tried not to miss a game. He loved Nascar and spent a good part of his younger years dirt track racing at Summerville Speedway. He was a “master” bass fisherman. He enjoyed spending time and acting silly with his grand-childern. He was just a big kid himself. Ricky was predeceased by his parents Marvin and Barbara sweat, loving wife of almost 50 years Donna Sweat and daughter Donica Vest (Eric Vest) He is survived by his brother Stevie Sweat (Wanda) , his only son Chris Sweat, daughter Chelsea Trudeau (Adam), a special friend Casey Williams, and 5 grandchildren, Conner Vest, Bailey Vest, Zoey Baker Sweat, Dwight Sweat and Logan Trudeau. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The viewing will be saturday December 26 at 1PM at Knightsville United Methodist Church on Central Ave in Summerville. The funeral service will follow at 2PM, also in the church gym. Flowers may be sent to Knightsville United Methodist Church.
