Richard Walters
August 25th, 1938 - December 3rd, 2013
Richard L. Walters, of Waukesha, died on Tuesday, December 03, 2013 at AngelsGrace hospice surrounded by family at the age of 75 years. Richard was born on August 25, 1938 in McCook, Nebraska the son of George and Amelia (Bauer). Richard learned his work ethic by spending his teenage years on a farm in Helenville, WI. He was a 1956 graduate of Jefferson High School. Richard married BettyAnn (Smale) on June 17, 1961 at the E & R United Church of Christ. Richard's tradework was as a metal finisher and was a long time employee of O.E.C.I. He retired after 12 years of employment with S.K. Williams Co in Wauwatosa in 2002. Richard will be deeply missed by his children, Dawn (Marty) Fix of Wausau, Janet (Jim) Horrell of Waukesha and Cynthia Bockman of Waukesha; his grandchildren, Jen (Josh) Boydston, Steven Fix, Scott Bockman, Matt Horrell and Cody Bockman; great grandson, Jackson Boydston; his siblings, Barbara (LeRoy) Frohmader, Gary Walters and Eddie (Kathy) Walters. He is preceded by his parents, wife BettyAnn; son Keith and infant son Scott. The visitation for Richard will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the 6:00 p.m. funeral service at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. The burial will take place on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Prairie Home Cemetery. We will meet between 10:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and leave from the funeral home parking lot at 10:30 a.m. sharp. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Jill for the compassionate care shown to Richard. In addition, the girls would like to thank the staff and volunteers at AngelsGrace for the compassionate care and love they not only gave their dad but to us also. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Ronald McDonald House, 8948 W.
