It is with sad yet peaceful hearts that we announce his passing on 1/7/22. Richard Arnold Wold was born in Willmar Minnesota to Violet and Nels Wold on April 18,1940. He was one of 9 children; 4 brothers: Neil, John, Robert and Ralph. 4 sisters: Veronica, Karen, MaryAnn and Judy. He Married Marlene Dirkswager and they were married for 46 years. Marlene always called him Tricky Dick, and would just sit there and roll her eyes with some things that came out of his mouth. He had 1 daughter and 4 sons. They lived in Patterson, California for several years before moving to Denver. Richard was a diesel mechanic for many years and a "Shade Tree mechanic", he was always in the garage whether it was 10 or 100 degrees. He was always tinkering with something and always buying, selling or trading cars and was an antique, junk, treasure collector. If you needed anything you could just ask him and if he did not have it he would find it for you or sell it to you. Richard never met a stranger and was loved by so many family and friends. Everyone looked forward to his 4th of July and New Year's Eve celebrations. Richard drove truck for many years and was known as "Grease Monkey" in the trucking world. He owned his own truck and leased for Coors, hauling beer to many states and towns. He always spent his summers with his boys, going to Disney Land and Camping in the Tilton Hilton. He was a member of a dune buggy club in California and long time member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed snowmobiling in the Colorado mountains, and spent many summers in Minnesota going to parades, driving tractors, Threshing and visiting family. After Marlene passed he packed it all up and moved back to Minnesota but came back to Colorado during the Minnesota winters. Richard was a good husband, father, uncle, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. Richard is survived by daughter Jolynn and sons; Mark, Todd, Craig and Paul. Richard was a one of a kind and will be missed by so many friends and family.
