Richard A Yerrid

Richard Alan Yerrid, 51, of Lake Tapps was called to heaven on January 1st after a mercifully short but courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, David E. Yerrid. He leaves behind, his mother, Jean Luty Yerrid of Helena, Alabama; brother Mike Yerrid and wife, Nicole of Coppell, TX. and their children Logan and Michael; brother Kenneth (KC) Yerrid and wife Desiree of Puyallup and their children Sydney and Austin; and long time love Cindy Corcoran and her son, Taylor Hegland, of Lake Tapps. Born in Holyoke, MA, on February 23, 1964, he attended local schools and went on to graduate from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA with a degree in International Marketing and Business. Shortly thereafter, he relocated to the Seattle area and was self-employed at Pacific Northwest Auto Logistics. He was an avid photographer and outdoorsman. His life long love of dogs inspired him to establish Big Daddy's Doggie Day Care and Wash in Puyallup in 2008. His winning personality, sense of humor, hearty laugh, and nurturing, caring manner quickly captured the hearts of the dogs and their owners alike. An informal Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at the Big Daddy's Facility on January 23rd. from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Refreshments will be served and attendees will be welcome to share their thoughts and stories, either verbally or on memory cards and are encouraged to sign the guest book
