Ricky Wayne Sessoms, 58, of Sherrills Ford, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021. Born Thursday, January 10, 1963 in Charlotte, North Carolina, he was the son of Avis Dagenhart Sessoms and the late William Edward Sessoms. He was a member of the American Legion Post 262 and the youngest member of the Men's Club at Hopewell United Methodist Church. Ricky was full of life, had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. He was an extremely talented musician and enjoyed entertaining. In addition to his mother, Ricky is survived by his sons, Dylan and Tyler Sessoms; twin sister, Vicky S. Harmon and her husband, Chris; sisters: Delicia Payne and her husband, Tim, Anita Britt and Lynn Sulpizii; brother, Tony Brooks and his wife, Renee; half-brother, Marc Sulpizii; and many more loving family and friends. The family will receive friends at 12:00PM with a Celebration of Life at 1:00PM Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, 28203. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Hopewell Methodist Church, 2211 Hopewell Church Road, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673.
