Ricky Ivan Tipton

Ricky Ivan Tipton, 56 of Gate City, passed away Sunday (January 31st, 2016) at Indian Path Hospital. He was born and has lived most of his life in Scott County. He drove a semi truck for many years. Rick was a humble man; and for many years he lived a different life but made a turn around and gave his heart and life to the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Beulah Tipton and the mother of his children, Cindy Linton. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Tipton Wilson and son, Timothy Tipton; five grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis Tipton and partner, David Gibson and Marshall Tipton wife Edna Mae and sister, Kathy Clark and husband Robert and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3pm Wednesday (February 3, 2016) at Tipton's Chapel Baptist Church. A service will follow at 3pm with Pastor Mike Gilliam officiating.
