Rita Felice
April 8th, 1935 - March 13th, 2019
Rita (Rovella) Felice of Viera, FL, formerly of West Hartford, CT, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Health First Cape Canaveral Hospice, FL after a short illness. Rita was born in Amantea, Italy on April 8, 1935, wed in 1951, and immigrated to the United States in 1953. Rita lived in West Hartford, CT for 35 years and moved to Palm Bay, FL with her husband Anthony in 1989 and then to Viera, FL in 2005. Rita’s greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren who all cherished time spent with her. She was an excellent cook and loved to make everyone’s favorite Italian meals. Rita was a bridal consultant for 50 years specializing in wedding gowns from 1965 to 2015 both in Hartford, CT and Melbourne, FL. Rita is survived by her children, Helen M. (Felice) and Keith Richardson of Cheshire CT, Vincent A. Felice and his fiancé Kim Flossie of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Anthony R. Felice of Boston, MA and her five grandchildren William J. Stocker II of Terryville, CT, Anthony F. Felice of Guilford, CT, Amanda J. Felice of Pleasant Gap, PA, Katherine E. (Richardson) & Anthony Faustini of Southington, CT and Matthew S. Richardson of Milford, CT. She also had a special place in her heart for Anna L. Wadlington of Boston and her cherished cousins, nieces and nephews both in the U.S. and in Italy. Rita was predeceased by her husband Anthony Felice and her daughter Roseann (Felice) Stocker of Terryville, CT. Calling hours will be held at the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen funeral home at 1084 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, CT on Sunday, March 17th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 18th, at 11 a.m. at Saint Brigid Church, 1088 New Britain Ave, West Hartford, CT. Burial immediately following at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield CT. A memorial service will be held for Rita in Florida at a later date. Rita’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the very kind and caring staff at Health First Cape Canaveral Hospice. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
