Rita Ann Harbison

Rita Ann Harbison, Age 66, of Mesa, AZ, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2022. Rita was born on February 25, 1956, to Carol and Joe West in Florida and is survived by her husband Donny Harbison, children, grandchildren, and a great-grandson. Rita began her journey in Florida where she made lifelong friends including Linda Harrison which she loved as a sister. Rita had 3 sons the oldest Eric, and then her twin boys Rodney and Jason which she loved very dearly. In 1993, Rita met her true love and soul mate who became her lifelong partner and husband Donny Harbison. Rita married her best friend, and they had a lifetime of adventures, fun, true love, and memories. Rita and Donny moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, and later relocated to Mesa, AZ. Everyone who knows Rita and Donny feels the love between them and how they’ve been inseparable since the day they met. When Rita and Donny married Rita gained a daughter Courtney which she loved as her own. Rita had a passion for life, the arts/crafts, watching Christian-based TV, photography, writing, love, family, and most importantly faith. Rita loved and cherished all of her family, and friends and wholeheartedly put her faith in Jesus Christ our lord and savior. Rita was a godly woman and constantly prayed over everyone whether in her daily prayers, directly in person, or over the phone with her loved ones consistently. Rita was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Mother and Father (Carol and Joe West), and brother (Chuck West). Rita is survived by her husband Donny and her 4 children (Eric, Courtney, Rodney, and Jason) which she loved very dearly along with their spouses (Mariah, Joe, and Nathan). Rita is also survived by her 10 Grandchildren (Trace, Taylor, Kinley, Khloe, Silas, Alivia, Bradley, Evie, Wyatt, and Jasmine), and her great-grandson Oliver Rayne Newman. Rita had an undying love for all of her grandchildren and knew how much they loved their Mimi. Services will be held at Legacy Funeral Home located at 1130 S. Horne St., Mesa, AZ 85204 on Monday, November 21, 2022, between 1 pm – 3 pm.
