April 17th, 1935 - April 6th, 2004
Heuer, Rita M. Prokash, 68, of Seminole, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at her home after a six year battle with cancer. She was born in Luxemburg, WI and came here in 1974 from Minneapolis, MN. Locally, together with her husband, she was the Owner and Executive Vice President and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Aide Services, Inc., a Tampa based corporation which operated 17 offices on the West Coast of Florida. Rita and her husband were instrumental in the formation of the first volunteer band booster organization in 1974, supporting the Seminole High School Band, which quickly grew to more than 250 members and won first place in several categories at a National band competition in Virginia Beach, VA in 1978. She served as Secretary and contributed countless hours as a chaperone and organizing fund raising activities. She was an avid reader and loved a great variety of music. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Martin; 2 sons, Martin Joseph of St. Petersburg and Ronald James of New Port Richey; 3 sisters, Isabelle Seidl of Green Bay, WI, Regina Annoye of Algoma, WI, and Germaine Berkovitz of Manitowoc, WI; and 6 grandchildren.
