Church Hill – Rita Jo Monroe, 83 of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 5, 2018 in Maryville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Monroe and her son, Eddie Monroe. Rita is survived by her sister, Juanita Leib; son Jeffrey Monroe; and many loving members of her extended family. The family will receive friends from 5-7 on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Church Hill Church of God, 206 Old Union Road, Church Hill, TN. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with Pastor Allen Jervey officiating. Music will be provided by Elijah Woods. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Morning Star Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Monroe family.
