Rita Margaret Riley Naughton

Rita Margaret (Riley) Naughton, 88, died on November 9, 2004 at home. Mrs. Naughton was born in Westfield, New Jersey on February 17, 1916. She was a graduate of All Souls Hospital School of Nursing, Morristown, New Jersey in 1936, as a Registered Nurse. She held numerous nursing positions for almost 50 years including Nursing Supervisor at Morris View Nursing Home in Morris Plains, New Jersey and Hospice Volunteer. She married her beloved husband, John (Jack) Naughton, Jr. on June 7, 1941. They were married for 53 years before his passing on May 15, 1994. They resided in New Jersey for 68 years before moving to Olympia in 1984. She and Jack were members of St. Michael’s Parish for many years and active with St. Vincent DePaul Society. Mrs. Naughton was a member of Take Shape Fitness in Olympia for many years which gave her great joy and many friends. Mrs. Naughton is survived by a daughter, Sheila E. Ohlweiler and her husband Joseph of East Brunswick, New Jersey; a son, John F. Naughton III and his wife, Karen of Olympia; 4 grandchildren, Diane Ohlweiler Culligan and her husband, Thomas; Joseph T. Ohlweiler II and his wife Jennifer; Sean Naughton and Colleen Naughton; 4 great grandchildren, Megan and Thomas Culligan and Ariana and Mia Riley Ohlweiler. She is also survived by her sister, Marie Riley Bowerbank of Succasunna, New Jersey. The family would especially like to acknowledge the dedicated care administered to Mrs. Naughton in recent years by Mr. & Mrs. R.
