Robert "Bob" Fulton Bendorf Jr., 83, of Yuba City, California, passed on June 2, 2024. Robert was born in Scotia, CA, and is the eldest son of Robert and Frances Bendorf.Robert was married to Veronica Bendorf for 51 years until her passing in 2014.He is the father of three children, Brenda Neal (Brian), Robert F. Bendorf III (Melanie), and Laura Dalby (Jason). Robert enjoyed his seven grandchildren, Christopher, Robbie, Jordan, Sammy, Eric, Matthew, Nicole and ten great-grandchildren.Growing up in Yuba City, Robert attended Bridge Street School and graduated from Yuba City High School, where he played baseball for the Honkers. Robert went on to serve in the United States Army for several years and shortly after met Veronica. He was a retail clerk for several decades and enjoyed playing in horseshoe tournaments across California.Robert was always full of life and playing jokes on others, usually followed by mom shaking her head at his silliness. Weekend trips with Veronica and his children to Lake Tahoe were his favorite, as well as watching his beloved New York Yankees.In addition to his immediate family, Robert is survived by his sister, Mary Lou Brower (Bill).Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Bendorf; and great-grandchild, Fulton Bendorf.A private family service and interment will be held at Sutter Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Yuba City High School Booster Club, P.O. Box 1287, Yuba City, CA 95992.
