It is with profound sadness that Robert (Bob) LeRoy Boone passed away on July 15, 2024. He was surrounded by the family he cherished in his final moments.

He was born to Theodore Boone and Sylvina (Leeper) on February 10, 1934, in Thurman Iowa. He spent his early years farming in small towns around Thurman. He loved sharing stories of those days tending crops. He graduated from Tabor Highschool in 1951, lettering in track and football.

He met the love of his life, Ann Louise McCurdy, and they married on July 18, 1953, in Lincoln Nebraska. They were married 50 years, before her death in 2004. They joined his parents in Colorado and started a tree service with his stepfather Floyd Gardener. Soon after, he decided to join the United States Air Force, where he reached the rank of Chief Master Sargent. His military career took him to several bases, including one oversees in Turkey, where his family joined. After 22 years of service, he retired to Loveland and helped his parents farm again. In 1976 he began his second career as a purchaser at Eastman Kodak Company in Windsor Colorado. He remained there for over two decades, and again retired.

He was the second of four sons, Edgar Boone (deceased), Bernard Boone (Billie Jo) Berthoud, CO, and Albert Boone (Bobbie) Kansas. He had three children, Robert (Tony) Boone (Sue Ellen) Greeley, CO, Deanna Thomson Loveland, CO, and Harlan Boone (Kim) of Loveland Colorado. He had nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Saddie Norris (Jeremy), Katie Boone (James Bastian), Austin Klen, Alyssa Guzman (Angel), Dominick Klen Sr (Kim), Ethan Young, Teran Boone (Kimberly Riddle), Hailey Boone, Cody Morgan (Damon), Kenadee Kae Boone (deceased), Jordin Boone (Amelia Salazar), Haven Encineas, Deklin Servin, Dougie Edwards, Teagan Edwards, Dominick Klen Jr, Breck Young, Bentley Jensen, Gabriel Guzman, Aspen Klen, Rylan Boone, and Emma Klen.

Bob loved his daily newspaper and crossword puzzle each morning with his Wheaties and Coffee. He treasured the time spent with family cracking jokes and laughing. He was an awesome neighbor and always willing to lend a hand and offer up a smile. He positively influenced so many people during his life. He had a heart of gold. He was a humble man, but secretly loved being celebrated. He treasured every moment with his big family and beamed with delight while surrounded by them.

A viewing will be held at Viegut Funeral Home, 1616 N Lincoln Ave, Loveland, CO 80538 on Thursday July 25, 2024 from 4PM to 7PM.
