Robert Duane Brenneman

Robert Duane Brenneman of Albuquerque, NM, formerly Crete, NE, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 11, 2017 at the age of 74. He was born on October 4, 1942 in Pawnee City, NE to John M. & Pauline (Mekemson) Brenneman of Crete, NE. Bob was a 1960 graduate of Crete High School. After high school, he served as a Radioman in the U.S. Navy and received an honorable discharge. He then continued his education and graduated from Doane College with a Bachelor's degree. He married Marian Castoral in June 1966. They had two children, John & Jennifer. In 1997, he married Maggie Anderson. He was retired from his insurance business he owned with his wife, Maggie, in Albuquerque, NM, where he resided until his death. Bob loved backpacking, hunting, fishing, nature, wildlife and traveling; anything outdoors he was there. He had a love for nature & wildlife. His love of storytelling would keep you on the edge of your seat. All will miss his quest for adventure with his unique and humorous imagination& zest for life. He is survived by his wife, Maggie; son John Brenneman & wife Jenny (Metz), grandson Liam of Kalamazoo, MI; daughter Jennifer Belanger & husband Michael, grandson Ayden of Shrewsbury, MA, granddaughters Mickinley Martinez (Nault) & husband Franco of Stafford, VA, Jaleh Nault of Harrisonburg, VA, and Alyssa Belanger of Auburn, MA; Step daughters Audrey Bone & husband Travis, grandson, Thaden of Phoenix, AZ; Andrea Payne & husband Daniel of Dallas, TX, granddaughter Gabriella Chavez of Albuquerque NM; Brother Ken Brenneman & wife Grace of Plattsmouth, NE; Sister Betty Zamperini of Oak Ridge, PA, along with many nieces, nephews & friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brother-in-law Marvin Zamperini and niece Amber Frerichs. Services will be held at Sagebrush Riverside campus, 6440 Coors Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM on Friday August 18, 2017 @ 10:00 AM.
