A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene for Robert William Brown of Veneta, who died July 17 of respiratory failure. He was 71.He was born May 14, 1939, in Silverton to A.D. and Lova Hughes Brown. He and his wife, Marilyn, were married July 31, 1966, in Harrisburg.He graduated from high school and attended Lane Community College. He worked for the Pierce Corp.Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kevin of Hermiston and Tim of The Dalles; two sisters, Elaine Hinds of Oklahoma and Ethel Lawson of Oregon; a brother, Raymond of Georgia; and four grandchildren. A son, Lloyd Brown, and a grandchild, Levi Brown, died previously.Arrangements by Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene. Remembrances to the Church of God Seventh-Day building fund.
