Robert R. Brunelle
February 8th, 1935 - September 12th, 2019
"Ludlow, Robert R. Brunelle, 84, died peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, September 12, 2019. Bob, son of the late Bella Brunelle, was born in Springfield on February 8, 1935. He graduated from Trade High School in Springfield and attended American International College. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Engaging in various business activities during his life, Bob could best be described as a serial entrepreneur who created Rent Me Strollers, Games & Lanes, and Bounce and Jump. He was a regional manager of AMF bowling lanes for many years and traveled all over the country operating bowling alleys. Bob was also an umpire for semi pro baseball as well as local high school baseball and softball teams. He truly enjoyed people and loved to engage them in conversation. Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara (Pelletier) Brunelle, his children, Christopher Brunelle and his wife Kimberly of Belchertown, daughters, Karen Keyes and her husband Douglas of Hampden and Bethann Strycharz and her husband Michael of Monson along with seven grandchildren, Natalie, Emily, Timothy, Nicholas, Alex, Drew and Lyla. He is predeceased by his brother Ronald and sister Gloria. A celebration of Bob's life will be on Thursday, September 19th at 6:30 pm at Beers and Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St. Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 - 6:30 pm. Burial will take place at a later date. The family would like to express their gratitude to Summit Elder Care. If desired, donations in his memory may be made to Summit Elder Care, 101 Wason Ave, suite 100, Springfield, MA 01107."
