Robert Lee Choate
September 26th, 1945 - March 1st, 2016
Robert lee Choate died suddenly at home in Pioneer, Ca. of an apparent heart attack Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the age of 70 years. Robert was born in San Francisco, Ca. on September 26, 1945 to Arthur Lee and Ruby Lucille (Brockhoff) Choate. Robert moved to Concord in the late 50's. He graduated from Clayton Valley High School in 1963 and attended Oregon State where he played football. Bob was very involved coaching little league baseball with Concord American League from 1966 to 1975. He was a member of IBEW Local 1245 for 50 plus years. He started his career with PG&E as a lineman/troubleman, until he went on staff for IBEW Local 1245. He started as a business representative, working his way up to Senior Assistant Business Manager. Bob was a big sports fan, especially loving college football. He loved his morning rides in his vet which he bought the day after he retired from IBEW Local 1245. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Jane Choate, their beloved Westie (Bonnie); sister, Pat (Bob) Clarenbach; nephew, Scott (Connie) Clarenbach and their children MacKenna and Mason; niece, Lisa (Charley) McDowell and their children CJ and Mackenzie. Friends are invited to attend public viewing Sunday, March 6, 2016, 1:00 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary Chapel, Jackson, Ca. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Sutter Creek, Ca. Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Graveside to follow at Amador Memorial Cemetery, Pioneer, Ca. Contributions may be sent to American Heart Association 2007 O St. Sacramento, Ca. 95811.
