Robert Coakley

Robert Coakley Robert Coakley, long time resident of Eugene, died on January 28th at the age of 90. Bob is survived by his four daughters, Mary, Jaclyn, Sandra and Barbara; two grandsons, Robert and Matthew; and son-in-law Valen. Bob is preceded in death by his beloved wife Alice, parents Lewis and Elizabeth, brothers William and Vincent and sister Genevieve. Bob was born in Nebraska. He moved to Oregon as a young child along with three generations of his extended family. After graduating from high school, Bob served in the military during the last year of World War II. He went to college and graduated with a degree in engineering. He married Alice while still in college. After moving around the country while working as an engineer for major corporations, Bob and Alice returned to Oregon where he began a long career as a forest products industry engineer in Oregon and Washington. Bob was well respected in his field. He was a quiet and gentle man. A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7th at 10:00 am at the Musgrove Family Mortuary at 225 S Danebo Avenue, Eugene, OR 97402. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bob's life.
