Obituary Robert Leo Cummings, 59, died unexpectedly in Limon, Colorado, where he lived. He was born August 4, 1962 in Mansfield, PA to Sarah Mae Rouse and Bruce Lee Cummings. He was brought to Colorado and was raised here. He graduated from Columbine High School where he was a star football player, ultimately a knee injury ended his football career and he moved away from Denver. He was the head chef at the Southside Food & Drink in Limon and had been there off and on for the better part of his adult life. He started there with Bob and Pat Younger, but had recently been working there with their daughter and her husband, Janice and Donny DeGroot, both of which treated him like a son and brother. He had also painted houses and multiple other establishments in the Limon and Missouri areas running a successful painting business for years, but ultimately returning to managing the kitchen at Southside, a job he was born to do. Robert was an avid Broncos fan and loved people. He was a joy to be around and would always tell "elaborate" stories and no matter how many times you spoke with him youd swear you never heard the same one twice, but you would always walk away laughing. Although he considered his friends at Southside his family, he truly loved his family to no end. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Melissa & Robert "Bobby" Bloodworth; and his parents, Sarah & Robert Everett. He is also survived by one grandson that he cherished, Kyler Lockhart, and brothers and their wives, John & Robyn Cummings, Bill & Edna Cummings, Rick & Sandy Cleveland, Jason Everett, Bradley Everett, his sister Kim Hanscom; and numerous uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
